A Waiter or Waitress takes orders and serves food and beverages to customers in restaurants. Answers customer questions about menu items, prepares checks and collects payment, and assists with clearing dishes and tables. May work in banquet or dining halls.
We are seeking skilled and enthusiastic Servers to join our team in the our signature Brew Brothers Restaurant here at Harrah's Casino, Columbus. The Brew Brothers Bartenders and Servers are responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests, and, delivering excellent customer service to ensure our guests are afforded a remarkable experience. To ensure the excellent serving of patrons in a timely manner and to assure quality guest service and a favorable gaming experience.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
Adhere to department service standards of being accommodating, accurate, and attentive. Interact effectively and courteously with all guests and employees and demonstrate resiliency to deal with difficult situations in all types of business conditions. Responsible to take beverage and food orders from guests, prepare drinks and serve meals correctly and return these orders in a timely manner. Responsible to enforce guest intoxication limitations and company policy and procedure regarding limitations Responsible for taking food orders from guests and delivering these orders to the guest when applicable. Responsible for developing and maintaining positive guest relations, including resolving minor guest disputes and ensuring the safety and security of all guests and employees.
Responsible for the following:
stock bar items, fill ice bins, replenish juice used at bars, empty garbage, mop floors, keep all areas including bar mats and coolers clean and orderly. Keep area in a clean and orderly manner Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED Required. Must be at least 19 years of age to work in the Casino. Must be able to stand, lift, bend, and twist as required
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance according to schedule. Fast paced environment, multiple tasks to be handled under time constraint. Must be able to work with the public in a professional manner. Must respect the confidentiality of both guests and company as sensitive information will be given and received.
