Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and communicated clearly to the kitchen and bar staff. Serve food and beverages promptly, including cocktails, wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks, demonstrating beverage service expertise. Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash and credit card payments with accuracy. Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance guest experience and increase sales revenue through effective suggestive selling techniques. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food handling safety protocols. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant operations. Assist with guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure a positive dining experience. Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with a strong understanding of fine dining standards preferred. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for processing orders and transactions smoothly. Knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, cocktail mixing techniques, and beverage presentation to provide expert recommendations. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours while maintaining high-quality service. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally throughout their visit. Basic math skills for accurate bill calculation, change handling, and sales processing. Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation management tools is a plus for efficient guest seating. Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Ability to upsell menu items confidently while respecting guest preferences and dietary needs.
