Job Summary Tussey's Casual Grill is seeking a friendly, dependable, and guest-focused Restaurant Server to provide welcoming service and help create a positive dining experience. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy casual-dining environment. The Restaurant Server will greet guests, explain menu options, take accurate food and beverage orders, deliver meals, and coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are served promptly. This role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent guest service. Key Responsibilities Welcome guests and help them feel comfortable upon arrival. Present menus and answer questions about food and beverage options. Take accurate orders and communicate special requests to kitchen staff. Deliver food and beverages promptly and verify order accuracy. Check on guests during their meals and respond politely to requests. Address routine service concerns professionally and notify management when needed. Coordinate with servers, cooks, and other team members to maintain efficient service. Process payments accurately using the restaurant's payment system. Keep tables, dining areas, and service stations clean and organized. Restock napkins, utensils, condiments, and other supplies. Follow restaurant hygiene, food-safety, and service procedures. Assist with opening, closing, and other assigned front-of-house duties. Requirements Previous restaurant or serving experience is preferred but may not be required. Strong communication and guest-service skills. Friendly, professional, and dependable attitude. Ability to work efficiently during busy meal periods. Attention to detail when taking and delivering orders. Basic math skills and comfort handling payments. Ability to work cooperatively with kitchen and front-of-house teams. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Availability for evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
