The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, processing cash transactions accurately, and ensuring a memorable dining experience. Knowledge of wine, cocktails, and food service is essential, along with the ability to guide customers through grilling techniques or Japanese BBQ at the table. Previous experience with POS systems and food service operations is required to succeed in this role. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience Process cash and card transactions efficiently and accurately using POS systems Take food and beverage orders, ensuring all special requests or dietary needs are communicated clearly to the kitchen and bar staff Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness Demonstrate knowledge of wine selections, cocktails, and Japanese-style BBQ techniques Educate customers on how to operate the grill or Japanese BBQ at their table when applicable Assist with food preparation or cooking instructions related to sushi or Japanese cuisine as needed Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in compliance with safety standards Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations Skills Proven experience in food service Strong knowledge of wine, cocktails, and beverage service techniques Ability to process cash transactions accurately using POS systems Excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor Ability to guide customers through grilling or BBQ experiences at the table Basic understanding of sushi ingredients and preparation (preferred but not mandatory) Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices Pain training and flexible scheduling.
