Job Description
Position Summary We are seeking experienced, energetic, and guest-focused Servers to join our team. This is a fast-paced, physically active restaurant position requiring frequent communication with guests and team members and continuous movement throughout the dining room during service. Previous BBQ restaurant serving experience is strongly preferred. Experience in Asian restaurants, Korean BBQ, Japanese BBQ, hot pot, or other high-volume table-service concepts is a plus. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly, and professional service throughout their dining experience. Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter orders correctly into the POS system. Explain menu items, BBQ selections, sauces, side dishes, cooking procedures, ingredients, promotions, and basic allergen information. Make appropriate menu recommendations and upsell food, beverages, and promotional items. Monitor assigned tables and respond promptly to guest requests. Serve food and beverages accurately and efficiently. Coordinate closely with Service Assistants, Food Runners, Bussers, kitchen employees, and management. Assist guests with the BBQ dining experience according to restaurant service procedures. Process cash and credit-card transactions accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, service stations, and assigned work areas. Follow food safety, sanitation, alcohol-service, and food-handling requirements. Promptly communicate guest complaints, food issues, allergy concerns, or service problems to management. Complete assigned opening, running, side-work, and closing duties. Experience & Qualifications Previous full-service restaurant serving experience preferred. Previous BBQ restaurant serving experience strongly preferred. Experience in an Asian restaurant, Korean BBQ, Japanese BBQ, hot pot, or similar dining concept is a plus. High-volume restaurant experience preferred. Previous POS and payment-processing experience preferred. Strong customer-service and verbal communication skills. Ability to learn and accurately explain menu items and restaurant procedures. Ability to manage multiple tables and priorities during peak business periods. Basic math skills necessary for guest checks and payment transactions. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Essential Functions & Physical Requirements The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation , including: Stand and walk for extended periods, including for the majority of a scheduled shift. Frequently move between guest tables, service stations, kitchen areas, and other restaurant work areas. Frequently bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive restaurant service movements. Safely lift and carry trays, dishes, beverages, restaurant supplies, and other service items weighing up to approximately 25 pounds. Work safely around hot food and surfaces, restaurant equipment, wet or slippery floors, guests, and coworkers. Effectively communicate work-related information with guests, coworkers, kitchen employees, and managers in a busy restaurant environment. Maintain attention to multiple tables and responsibilities simultaneously. Work efficiently during high-volume service periods. Compensation & Benefits This position pays $15.92 per hour plus tips . Actual tip income varies based on hours worked, shifts, sales, and applicable tip distribution practices. Employees are eligible for paid sick leave and other benefits as required by applicable law.
