As an Banquet Server, you will play an essential role in delivering outstanding guest experiences through attentive service, professionalism, and teamwork. Responsibilities include assisting with event setup and breakdown, serving food and beverages, maintaining clean and organized dining areas, and ensuring guests receive exceptional service throughout each event. This is a flexible & event-based opportunity ideal for individuals seeking experience in the hospitality industry. Shifts are offered at various locations throughout New Jersey, with opportunities to select shifts based on your availability and event staffing needs. Responsibilities Provide exceptional food and beverage service to guests at weddings, corporate events, private parties, banquets, and other special occasions. Assist with event setup, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, dinnerware, glassware, and silverware. Serve plated meals, buffet-style dining, and passed hors d'oeuvres in a professional and timely manner. Clear tables, replenish beverages, and maintain a clean and organized dining environment throughout events. Assist with buffet setup, food stations, and beverage service as needed. Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests while maintaining high standards of hospitality. Work collaboratively with event coordinators, catering staff, and fellow team members to ensure seamless event operations. Assist with post-event breakdown, cleaning, and equipment organization. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines. Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic during all assignments. Qualifications Previous experience in banquet serving, catering, restaurant service, or hospitality is preferred. Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Reliable transportation to various event locations throughout New Jersey. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods throughout shifts. Ability to carry serving trays, transport dishes, and perform physical tasks associated with event service, with or without reasonable accommodation. Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences. Professional appearance, punctuality, reliability, and a positive attitude. Ability to follow instructions, adapt to different event environments, and work independently when needed. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
