Job Description
Overview Join our Team at Driftwood Tiki Bar! Currently hiring full time servers for year round employment. Become a vital part of creating memorable dining experiences! In this energetic role, you will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food and beverage quality, and maintain a lively, welcoming atmosphere to all guests and members. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help guests feel valued and eager to return. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your hospitality skills while working in a vibrant, fast-paced beach environment. Duties Greet guests warmly, provide menus, and assist with selections to enhance their dining experience Up sell and generate as many transactions as possible while ensuring quality to all guests Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, and specialty dishes to maximize sales opportunities Handle transactions accurately through POS systems, process payments, and give correct change or receipts Maintain knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Support team members by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting with guest requests promptly Throw trash out and maintain a clean work environment Work weekends as needed Experience Previous restaurant or food service experience is highly preferred, especially in fast-paced environments Familiarity with POS systems (not required) Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle guest relations professionally Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and upselling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and sales Able to be on your feet for extended periods of time and walk around beach and pool areas Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking seamlessly Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and processing sales efficiently Experience in food industry roles such as host/hostess or bartender is advantageous but not required Join us if you're passionate about hospitality, beach vibes and amazing staff!! come join us and be ready to create unforgettable moments for every guest!
