Responsibilities Safely handle and transport food from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring proper presentation and temperature. Assist with food preparation, plating, and garnishing as needed to support kitchen operations. Clear and clean tables efficiently by bussing dishes, resetting tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas. Support the kitchen staff with manual handling tasks, heavy lifting, and safe lifting practices to ensure smooth workflow. Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and guests to coordinate food delivery and address any special requests or issues. Maintain food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols. Help with general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing workstations and dining spaces. Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality is highly preferred. Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation practices. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and safe lifting techniques. Familiarity with POS systems and KDS systems on Toast for processing orders efficiently. Strong communication skills to interact confidently with team members and guests. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism. Physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout shifts.
