Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and personable Hostess, Food Runner to join our vibrant restaurant team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth seating process. As a Food Runner, you will efficiently deliver dishes from the kitchen to guests' tables, maintaining high standards of service and guest satisfaction. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help create an inviting atmosphere where guests feel valued and cared for from the moment they arrive until they leave. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and seat guests promptly Maintain clear communication with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages. Deliver food orders accurately and efficiently to guest tables, ensuring presentation standards are met. Manage guest flow during busy hours by organizing waiting lists and coordinating seating arrangements seamlessly. Uphold food safety standards by handling dishes carefully and maintaining cleanliness in service areas. Support the team with basic restaurant operations, including organizing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting with guest relations as needed. Requirements Previous experience as a host/hostess or food runner in a restaurant setting preferred. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude. Excellent communication skills Ability to stay organized under pressure while managing multiple tables and guest requests efficiently. Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards.
