Job Summary We are looking for bright and energetic applicants to join us at our Lighthouse Kitchen and Cafe in Wildwood NJ. Experience is preferred but not required. A warm professional presence is the goal for our servers. We are trying to build an amazing team that can grow with us as we start our second restaurant. We will have opportunities to promote staff as we grow. We have Morning shifts available. We are looking for efficient servers who are friendly, professional, reliable, and able to handle busy situations. We will guarantee to provide flexible hours and schedules and state minimum wage for servers with an opportunity for raises plus tips that are made by you as a server. Duties Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit Take accurate food and beverage orders over the phone and in person for takeout using POS systems such as Toast Occasionally package food for online orders for takeout Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities (and to make more tips for yourself) Handle cash transactions and cashiering duties accurately Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards and adhering to food safety protocols Accurately input guest's orders into POS at the correct table and be able to accurately deliver food to guest's tables Reset tables by placing menus, utensil rollups, and glasses/mugs at tables Support guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction Requirements Previous experience in food service or hospitality roles such as host/hostess or server is preferred but not required Knowledge of Toast POS or similar platforms is helpful Culinary experience or background in fine dining environments is a plus Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and energetic approach Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Ability to perform basic math for cashiering, billing, and upselling techniques Experience with OpenTable reservations system or similar booking platforms is advantageous
