Server APA Hotels Woodbridge Iselin, NJ Job Details Full-time $6.13 an hour 9 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Referral program Qualifications Customer communication Basic math Full Job Description We are seeking a Restaurant Server for our Japanese restaurant in our hotel with 200 guestrooms, 30,000 sq ft of meeting space, two full-service restaurants, and a cafe. Perks Dental/Medical/Vision/Paid Time Off/401K/Employee Referral Program A Restaurant Server is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. We are a drug-free workplace and participate in E-Verify . What you will be doing Key Responsibilities (This list is not all-inclusive, and additional duties may be assigned as needed.) Greeting guests warmly and present menus Take accurate food and beverage orders Provide menu recommendations and answer questions about ingredients or specials Serve food and drinks promptly and correctly Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any issues Process payments (cash, credit cards, POS systems) Maintain cleanliness of tables and dining areas Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate when needed Follow all food safety and hygiene standards
Requirements:
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules (including nights, holidays and weekends) to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required. High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) Previous restaurant or customer service experience is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure Basic math skills for handling payments Requires standing, walking, and carrying trays for extended periods Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Skills & Traits Friendly and outgoing personality Attention to detail Team-oriented mindset Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment Strong work ethic and reliability Friendwell Managed Hotels function twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
