Experienced Server — Bimi's Canteen & Bar (Chatham, NY) Bimi's Canteen & Bar is looking for experienced servers to join our team. This is not an entry-level position. We're looking for friendly, mature professionals who can deliver exceptional hospitality with confidence, efficiency, and attention to detail. Our ideal candidate doesn't need constant direction—they anticipate guests' needs, support their teammates, and take pride in creating memorable dining experiences. We value people who genuinely love great food, wine, cocktails, and local agriculture. If you enjoy talking with guests about seasonal ingredients, artisan cheeses, and thoughtfully crafted drinks, you'll fit right in. What You'll Do Deliver warm, attentive, and knowledgeable table service Guide guests through the menu with thoughtful recommendations Confidently suggest wine, cocktails, cheeses, and seasonal specials Maintain your section with speed, accuracy, and professionalism Coordinate smoothly with the kitchen and bar throughout service Help set up, maintain, and close the dining room each shift Keep dining areas clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times Support teammates wherever needed to ensure seamless service Our Standards These are non-negotiable: Genuine hospitality comes first. Guests are acknowledged promptly and never feel forgotten. Tables remain clean, organized, and well maintained throughout service. Food and beverages are delivered accurately and efficiently. Side work is completed thoroughly before leaving. Every shift ends with the restaurant ready for the next service. What We're Looking For At least one year of restaurant serving experience (more is a plus) Strong hospitality instincts and excellent people skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced dining room Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented Able to multitask while remaining calm under pressure A collaborative team player with a positive attitude Willingness to learn and embrace our standards of service Ability to carry trays, lift up to 15 pounds, and comfortably navigate stairs throughout a shift Schedule Part-time; we are looking for a commitment of 1 to 3 shifts a week. Restaurant open Thursday through Monday Evening shifts required Weekend availability essential Compensation Competitive hourly wage plus tips.
