Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. Handle cash transactions efficiently, including processing payments through POS systems and giving correct change. Upsell menu items to increase sales by suggesting specials, drinks, or desserts to guests. Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations by bussing and sanitizing as needed. Ensure food safety standards are followed during food handling, preparation, and serving processes. Assist with reservation management using platforms like OpenTable to optimize guest flow during peak hours. Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation or bussing tasks when necessary to ensure smooth service flow. Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally. Skills Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that engages guests positively. Previous restaurant experience in fine dining or nightlife settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations within the food industry. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service periods effectively. Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Basic math skills for cash handling, making change accurately, and processing transactions swiftly. Experience with food preparation or kitchen support roles is beneficial but not required. Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and ensuring guest satisfaction. Hospitality background or host/hostess experience can be advantageous in creating a welcoming environment.
