Job Description
The Park Inn Restaurant is seeking an experienced, full-time Restaurant Server to join our team. We are a fine dining restaurant focused on exceptional food, beverage, and hospitality in a welcoming, professional environment. Our servers play an important role in creating memorable guest experiences. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, personable, attentive to detail, and takes pride in providing polished service from greeting to payment. The restaurant is currently open Tuesday through Saturday (5pm-9pm) for dinner service , providing a consistent five-day service schedule. Responsibilities Provide attentive, knowledgeable, and professional service throughout the guest experience Prepare and maintain dining tables with a strong focus on cleanliness, organization, and presentation Welcome guests and assist with seating and initial service needs Present menus and confidently explain food and beverage offerings Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system Answer guest questions and make thoughtful food, wine, and beverage recommendations Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and beverage selections Communicate effectively with kitchen, bar, and fellow service staff Monitor tables throughout the meal and anticipate guest needs Handle guest questions, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and a positive attitude Process guest checks and payments accurately Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all restaurant, health, sanitation, and safety standards Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment Requirements Minimum 2 years of restaurant serving experience preferred Previous experience in a full-service or fine dining restaurant strongly preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and organization Guest-focused attitude with a genuine interest in hospitality Ability to make informed food and beverage recommendations Ability to remain professional and composed in a fast-paced environment Experience with POS systems and handling payments Reliable, responsible, and trustworthy Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills Commitment to cleanliness, sanitation, and safety High school diploma or equivalent preferred Food safety certification is a plus
