Assisted Living Server & Dishwasher Position Summary The Assisted Living Server & Dishwasher supports the dietary team by providing residents with a pleasant dining experience and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment. This role includes serving meals, assisting residents courteously, washing dishes, and ensuring dining and kitchen areas remain sanitary and organized. Responsibilities Dining Room Service Greet residents warmly and provide attentive, friendly meal service. Set up the dining room prior to meal service (table settings, beverages, condiments). Serve meals according to dietary guidelines, portion control, and resident preferences. Assist residents who require help with beverages, trays, and meals. Clear tables promptly and reset for the next service. Ensure the dining room remains clean, tidy, and safe at all times. Dishwashing & Kitchen Support Operate commercial dishwasher to wash dishes, utensils, and cookware. Hand-wash items that cannot go through the machine. Maintain cleanliness of dish room, sinks, and equipment. Take out trash and recycling as needed. Assist cooks with basic prep tasks if assigned (no advanced cooking duties). Follow proper sanitation, infection control, and food safety procedures. General Expectations Follow all dietary department and facility policies. Every other weekend and shift rotation. Maintain a respectful, positive attitude with residents, visitors, and team members. Report any resident concerns or safety issues to a supervisor immediately. Work collaboratively with coworkers to support smooth meal services. Attend required trainings, meetings, and in-services. Qualifications Previous dining or kitchen experience preferred but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and resident-focused environment.

Pay:

$16.00 - $17.00 per hour
