Job Summary Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Food Runner, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Food Runner, you will ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages from the kitchen to our guests' tables, supporting the overall flow of service. Your energetic attitude and attention to detail will help create a lively, welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests excited about their visit. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, customer interaction, and restaurant operations within a vibrant hospitality environment. Duties Safely transport food and beverages from the kitchen to guest tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met Assist with food preparation and plating when needed, supporting kitchen staff in maintaining efficiency Clear and buss tables promptly, maintaining cleanliness and organization in dining areas Support servers by delivering orders quickly and efficiently, enhancing guest satisfaction Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of trays or boxes while practicing safe lifting techniques Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate service flow Maintain food safety standards by handling dishes and utensils properly, ensuring hygiene at all times Requirements Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and safe lifting practices is highly valued Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and long periods of standing or walking Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus for processing orders efficiently Experience with banquet service, bussing, or catering is advantageous but not mandatory Strong communication skills and a friendly attitude to provide excellent guest services Prior kitchen or culinary experience, hotel experience, or hospitality background will support success in this role Join us as a Food Runner and be part of a lively team dedicated to delivering memorable dining experiences!
