Wait Staff - Dining Services Job Summary Do you enjoy providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable dining experiences? We are looking for friendly, dependable, and hospitality-focused Wait Staff to join our Dining Services team in our Independent Living community. In this role, you'll provide restaurant-style dining service while building meaningful relationships with residents. Responsibilities As a Wait Staff team member, you will: Welcome residents and guests with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude. Escort residents to tables when appropriate. Present menus, explain daily specials, and answer questions about menu items. Take accurate food and beverage orders using the point-of-sale (POS) system. Serve meals and beverages promptly while ensuring quality presentation. Monitor tables throughout the meal, refill beverages, and anticipate resident needs. Communicate dietary restrictions, allergies, and special requests to the culinary team. Respond promptly and professionally to resident requests and concerns. Clear, clean, and reset tables according to dining room standards. Complete assigned side work, including stocking service stations and polishing silverware. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary dining environment. Assist with community events, holiday meals, and special functions. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures. Work collaboratively with fellow dining team members and culinary staff. Complete opening and closing duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, country club, or senior living dining environment preferred. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Basic computer or POS system experience preferred. Food Handler certification preferred or willingness to obtain. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Dependable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
