POSITION

Seeking Event Servers to work part time on weekends throughout the summer and fall, in our award winning "Enchantment" wedding venue.

EMPLOYER

The Inn at Taughannock Falls, just 7 miles outside of Ithaca, NY, on Cayuga Lake is a luxury boutique hotel, restaurant, and event center. Our new Event Center, Enchantment, is operating every week until the end of October. This stunning space holds large luxury events including weddings and academic events. This venue is the only one of its kind in the region, featuring a 100' x 60' sailcloth tent, customizable lighting package, multiple fire features including a two-story dry stack, stone fireplace, and an outdoor plating kitchen.

JOB DESCRIPTION

: Looking for Serves with pleasant personalities and who present themselves in a professional appearance and mannerisms. Candidates must own black shoes, black pants and a white button-down collared shirt. Event servers assist with setup and breakdown of the banquet area, including setting tables, service-wares, and food display materials. Event serves will serve wedding guest, using a tray to deliver different Hors D'oeuvres or cocktails during cocktail hour. Event servers will deliver all appetizers, dinner and dessert, during dinner service. On many events we use a buffet is used to distribute dinner and event servers will assist in serving off the buffet and the team will clear all tables after dinner. Sometimes during dinner service the event server should be able to work in a fast-paced environment. We work in an outdoor tented venue at various temperatures and times of day, as well as indoor venues when needed. Must commit to events in advance and have a reliable attendance record.
