Job Description

•Looking For Lunch Food Runners. Tuesday- Saturday Mid-Day Availability•Portage Country Club seeks fast and friendly Food Runners to deliver an exemplary dining experience to our private members. We offer year-round Food and Beverage services in multiple dining settings and are hosted to banquets and private events, golf tournaments, swim team events, and tennis programming.
Essential Job Duties:
•We are looking for individuals who can work weekends and evening• $13 an hour starting plus tip!! As a Food Runner at Portage Country Club, you will: Focus on details to provide the highest quality of service to all members and guests of members. Strive for continuous improvement in knowledge, quality, consistency, service, products, work environment, safety, wellness, and member satisfaction. Maintain company culture by interacting with team members and senior staff with respect. Attend pre-meal meetings at the beginning of every shift. Pre-set trays, plates, bowls, ramekins, and saucers for final food assembly in the kitchen. Read tickets and assemble trays in the proper order with the appropriate sides and condiments. Prepare relish trays, according to reservations. Carry trays of up to 40 lbs. of prepared food up and down stairs. Read, understand, and execute a floor plan for table set up. Maintain cleanliness and organization of chairs, tables, buffets, glassware, and floors. Understand and utilize the club's POS system. Retain knowledge regarding menu items, preparation, presentation, and accompaniments. If you see something, say something! Report all problems and maintenance issues to supervisor.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand and continuously move for the duration of a regular shift. Must be able to maneuver, bend, twist, pivot, and navigate stairs. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. or more. Educational and/or
Experience Requirements:
Some experience working in a hospitality or fine dining setting. Top-notch customer service skills, strong interpersonal skills and a "customer first" mentality. Strong listening and communication skills. Ability to self-govern and prioritize work. Professional in manner, dress, and grooming. Demonstrated knowledge and ability to adhere to quality standards for safety, sanitation, and food handling. Experience with using computers and familiarity with POS systems.
