Responsibilities Greet guests warmly, present menus, and answer questions about food, beverages, and specials with enthusiasm. Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all details are correct. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and sales. Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently, handling cash handling duties with accuracy. Maintain cleanliness of tables, assist with bussing, and ensure sanitation standards are met at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues swiftly to keep service smooth. Requirements Prior food service experience in restaurants or food industry settings is preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable for reservations is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle guest relations professionally. Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts while maintaining quality service. Ability to upsell beverages including wines, spirits, cocktails, and other drink options confidently. Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities effectively.
