Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing attentive host/hostess support as needed to ensure smooth seating flow. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted clearly. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality, including cocktail and spirits service with knowledgeable recommendations. Upsell menu items like wines, spirits, or desserts to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. Handle sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or other restaurant software. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables promptly and assisting with food handling and preparation when necessary. Engage with guests to provide exceptional customer service, addressing questions about menu items such as food safety, wine pairings, or dietary restrictions. Support team members with food preparation, kitchen assistance, or other duties to ensure seamless restaurant operations. Uphold food safety regulations and sanitation standards throughout all service interactions. Assist in managing guest relations by resolving concerns promptly and professionally to ensure a positive dining experience. Qualifications Previous restaurant experience preferred; fine dining experience is a plus but not required. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms. Demonstrated ability in food service roles with culinary experience or kitchen familiarity preferred. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours. Proven sales skills with experience in upselling beverages like wine or spirits; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous. Knowledge of food handling safety procedures and sanitation standards. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor that creates guest loyalty. Ability to perform basic math accurately for cashiering and sales transactions processing. Experience in hospitality roles such as serving, bussing, hosting/hostessing, or bartending is highly valued.
