About the
Role:
The Full Time Lead Server for assisted living plays a pivotal role in ensuring that residents receive exceptional dining experiences tailored to their unique needs and preferences. This position involves overseeing daily meal service operations, coordinating with kitchen staff, and leading a team of servers to maintain high standards of hospitality and care. The Lead Server acts as a liaison between residents, their families, and the dining team to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly. Additionally, this role requires adherence to health and safety regulations specific to assisted living environments, ensuring a safe and comfortable dining atmosphere. Ultimately, the Lead Server contributes significantly to the overall well-being and quality of life of residents through attentive service and effective team leadership.Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. At least 2 years of experience in a food service or hospitality role, preferably in assisted living or healthcare settings. Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead a team and manage multiple tasks efficiently.Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in food safety is a plus Experience working with elderly or special needs populations. Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a dining or hospitality environment. Familiarity with dietary restrictions and special meal accommodations...Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the serving team during mealtimes to ensure efficient and courteous service. Coordinate with kitchen staff to manage meal preparation schedules and accommodate special dietary needs. Assist residents with menu selections and provide personalized service to enhance their dining experience. Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas in compliance with health and safety standards. Train new servers on proper service techniques, resident interaction, and safety protocols. Address and resolve any resident or family concerns related to dining services promptly and professionally. Document and report any incidents or observations related to resident health or dining preferences.Skills:
The Lead Server utilizes strong leadership skills daily to guide and motivate the serving team, ensuring smooth and timely meal service. Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with residents, families, kitchen staff, and management to coordinate dining operations and address concerns. Attention to detail is critical when managing dietary restrictions and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. Organizational skills help in managing inventory, scheduling, and training responsibilities efficiently. Additionally, empathy and patience are vital in providing personalized service that respects the dignity and preferences of assisted living residents.
