Job Description

We are seeking an energetic and personable Banquet Server to join our team at Ashland Springs Hotel! In this role, you will be the face of our hospitality service during events, ensuring guests receive outstanding food and beverage service in a lively and professional manner. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create memorable experiences for our guests at various events and functions.
Essential Functions :
  • Review Banquet Event Order for schedule of daily functions.
  • Consistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service.
  • Complete all sidework and related cleaning duties.
  • Prepare banquet rooms for assigned functions.
  • Prepare, deliver, and refresh coffee stations.
  • Serve meals.
  • Perform both opening and closing procedures.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of food and beverage items.
  • Set-up/break-down buffet or other special food service tables/equipment.
  • Ensure that all doors and equipment are locked securely, everything is turned off and keys are returned.
  • Display knowledge of basic bar terminology and wine service.
  • Ensure equipment is in proper working order.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Possession of government required licenses or certificates.
  • Knowledge and understanding of quality food service techniques and standards.
  • Exceptional guest service skills.
  • Ability to:
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Work any day of the week and any hour.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
  • Work as part of a team.
  • Communicate effectively.
  • Receive and follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Multi-task and work well under pressure.
  • Carry and balance plates, trays, etc.
