Job Description

EXCITING OPPORTUNITY IN FLORENCE
Surfside Bistro at Driftwood Shores is looking for enthusiastic servers for our Surfside Bistro. Servers are responsible for positive guest interactions, being attentive to guests in a friendly and efficient manner. Our servers are attentive to our guest needs and make them feel welcome, comfortable, and relaxed. Wine knowledge is a plus but can be learned. Barista experience is a plus as well. We are open seven days a week and we need servers who are flexible regarding shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Greeting and Seating:
Greeting guests and seating them efficiently, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Order Taking:
Accurately taking food and beverage orders, making menu recommendations, and addressing any dietary restrictions or allergies.
Serving Food and Drinks:
Delivering orders promptly ensuring food and drinks are served correctly and represent a quality product.
Table Management:
Clearing tables, ensuring cleanliness, and resetting tables for the next guests.
Guest Interaction:
Checking in with guests to ensure satisfaction, addressing any concerns, and providing excellent service.
Payment Processing:
Presenting checks, processing payments (cash, credit cards, etc.) and ensuring accurate transactions.
Communication:
Communicating with the Front-of-House Manager and kitchen staff regarding orders and any issues that arise.
Knowledge of Menu:
Maintaining knowledge of the menu, including specials and ingredients, to answer guest questions.
Additional Responsibilities:
Cleanliness:
Maintaining a clean and organized dining and service areas.
Following Regulations:
Always adhering to health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Teamwork:
Collaborating with servers, bussers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
Problem-Solving:
Addressing guest issues and concerns in a professional manner. Discuss operational challenges and recommendations with management in a timely manner.
Open and Closing Duties:
Assisting with opening and closing procedures, such as setting up tables and stocking supplies.
Job Qualifications Experience:
Restaurant or Barista experience is a plus. Excellent oral communication skills. Positive interpersonal skills.
License/Qualifications:
Food Handlers Card within 30 days of hire OLCC Certification at time of hire
Pay:
$16.00 per hour
