Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Expo/Food Runner, where your energy and attention to detail will help create a seamless dining experience for our guests. In this vital role, you will serve as the bridge between the kitchen and front-of-house, ensuring food is delivered promptly, accurately, and with a smile. Your enthusiasm and efficiency will contribute to a lively, guest-focused environment where hospitality shines. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, customer interaction, and restaurant operations. This position has an hourly rate plus tips. Walk with cash every shift. Duties Safely handle and transport food orders from the kitchen to dining areas, ensuring timely delivery. Assist with food preparation and plating as needed, maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Maintain cleanliness in all service areas through regular cleaning and sanitizing of workspaces, utensils, and equipment. Communicate effectively with servers, cooks, and management to coordinate order delivery and guest needs. Manage takeout orders and coordinate with hosts to ensure the orders go to the right people. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred; familiarity with food handling and preparation is a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to provide excellent in-person customer service. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures. Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is advantageous. Demonstrated teamwork skills in fast-paced hospitality settings. Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods throughout shifts.
