Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff. Serve food, beverages, cocktails, spirits, and wine with professionalism, demonstrating knowledge of drink service and beverage presentation standards. Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling, credit card processing, and managing tabs via Toast. Upsell menu items including appetizers, desserts, drinks, and specialty cocktails to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining guest satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and assisting with food handling and food safety protocols. Foster positive guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing inquiries promptly, and ensuring a memorable dining experience from start to finish. Requirements Proven food service experience in a restaurant setting, ideally with fine dining or upscale casual environments. Strong knowledge of POS systems; experience with OpenTable is a plus. Demonstrated cocktail experience along with spirits knowledge; ability to prepare drinks efficiently and accurately. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables simultaneously while maintaining high-quality service. Familiarity with wine knowledge, food preparation basics, and food safety standards within the food industry. Ability to process cash transactions accurately while maintaining attention to detail in sales transaction processing. Exceptional customer service skills coupled with guest relations expertise; friendly demeanor and professional appearance are essential. Basic math skills for bill calculations and inventory management; experience with cashiering or cash handling preferred. Hospitality background with experience in serving guests in a fast-paced environment; prior host/hostess or bussing experience is advantageous.
