Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team at. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service and dietary support within healthcare or senior living environments. This role involves assisting with meal preparation, serving residents, maintaining sanitation standards, and ensuring adherence to dietary requirements. The Dietary Aide plays a vital role in delivering exceptional nutritional care and fostering a positive dining experience for our residents. Responsibilities Assist with food preparation and plating in accordance with established menus and dietary guidelines. Serve meals to residents with professionalism, courtesy, and attention to individual dietary needs. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas following food safety standards and infection control protocols. Support the dietary team in inventory management, including stocking supplies and rotating stock appropriately. Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper manual handling techniques and safe operation of kitchen equipment. Follow prescribed dietary restrictions for residents, ensuring accurate portioning and food handling practices. Assist with cleaning dishes, bussing tables, and sanitation tasks to uphold hygiene standards. Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or related food service environments is preferred. Knowledge of food production, preparation, and serving techniques within a healthcare or senior living setting. Familiarity with food safety regulations such as JCAHO standards and proper sanitation procedures. Ability to manage time effectively while multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on providing excellent customer service to residents. Basic math skills for portioning and inventory management. Certification in CPR and knowledge of personal protective equipment (PPE) use are advantageous. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely and engage in manual handling activities required for meal service and cleaning tasks.
