Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff Serve breakfast items, beverages, and specialty drinks with professionalism and efficiency, including cocktail and spirits service when applicable Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, including handling cash, processing sales transactions, and giving correct change Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols Upsell menu items such as specialty coffees, cocktails, or premium wines to enhance guest experience and increase sales Assist with food handling, preparation support, and ensuring all food industry safety standards are met throughout service Skills Proven experience in food service roles, preferably in restaurant or hospitality environments with fine dining exposure Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for efficient order processing Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle inquiries professionally Ability to manage time effectively during busy breakfast hours while maintaining high-quality service standards Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing sales totals Knowledge of wine, spirits, beverage service, and upselling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction Experience with food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling protocols Previous host/hostess or serving experience is highly desirable; familiarity with OpenTable reservations system is a plus Join us as a Thursday Breakfast Server to bring energy, enthusiasm, and exceptional service to our guests each morning!
