Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests in a friendly and efficient manner
• Take food and drink orders accurately and promptly
• Provide recommendations on menu items and upsell specials
• Enter orders into the POS system accurately
• Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food
• Prepare food items such as salads or desserts as needed
• Handle cash transactions and process payments
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area
• Assist with bussing tables and resetting for the next guests
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing any concerns or issues promptly
• Host and seat customers politely and efficiently

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a server or in a similar role is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of food preparation and culinary terminology is a plus
• Strong upselling skills to maximize sales opportunities
• Familiarity with Toast POS system or similar point-of-sale software is helpful
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective guest interactions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
