Our locally owned and operated Ice Cream Shop is hiring for fall/winter/spring positions. We are looking for hard working team members with a positive attitude, good communication and listening skills with the ability to multitask while providing excellent customer service. Ice Cream or fast-paced food service a plus, but not required. Will train. Must be 16+. Perfect for college students as a flexible schedule is available.

Job Summary:

Greets all customers with fast, friendly, personalized service Describes menu items to customers/suggest products Accurately rings sales orders into POS system Responds proactively to prevent customer service situations Assists in the distribution of weekly shipments Cleans or sanitizes work areas, utensils and equipment consistent with PA Food Code standards (will be trained) Follows health, food safety and sanitation guidelines Perform all opening/closing duties Informs the manager on duty of any operational inconsistencies Prolonged standing, repetitive bending, lifting

Key Responsibilities:

Acts with integrity and honesty Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standards Discovers and responds to customer needs Maintains a clean and organized workspace Perform support tasks including but not limited to: recording inventory, temperature logs and restocking product Demonstrate self-leadership skills: open communication, self-awareness, and ability to take initiative

Availability Requirements:

Summer Hours 12-10pm everyday, flexible shifts Spring/Fall Hours 1-9 weekdays, 12-9 weekends Schedule may vary but must be available most days including weekends. Reliable transportation is a must. Hourly wage starts at $10.00 an hour (more based on experience). Hourly pay increase after 30 days.
