Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Set up banquet rooms, tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and other event materials according to event specifications. Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional, and attentive service throughout the event. Serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously, following established service standards. Maintain awareness of guests' needs and respond promptly to requests. Clear and reset tables throughout the event while maintaining a clean and organized appearance. Assist with buffet setup, replenishment, and breakdown. Assist with plated, family-style, cocktail, and other banquet service styles. Properly handle and transport food and beverages in accordance with food safety standards. Communicate effectively with the Banquet Manager, kitchen staff, bartenders, and other team members. Monitor assigned tables and service areas to ensure guests receive timely and attentive service. Assist with event breakdown, including clearing tables, removing linens, cleaning service areas, and returning equipment to designated locations. Maintain a professional appearance and follow Springfield Country Club grooming and uniform standards. Follow all safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and company policies and procedures. Assist with other banquet and food & beverage duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous banquet, restaurant, catering, or hospitality experience preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Professional, friendly, and positive attitude. Strong attention to detail. Ability to remain calm and professional during busy events. Must be dependable and punctual. Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and carry items. Ability to lift and carry trays, supplies, and other items weighing up to approximately 30-50 pounds. Ability to safely navigate busy banquet and kitchen areas. Ability to work indoors and outdoors depending on event requirements. Schedule & Work Environment Flexible availability is required, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events . Schedule may vary based on weddings, banquets, private events, club functions, and seasonal business needs. Work is performed in a fast-paced hospitality environment where teamwork, professionalism, and guest service are essential.
