Description Position Summary The Roost is looking for a friendly, dependable, and hardworking Servers to join our front-of-house team. Servers are paid $4.00 per hour plus credit card and cash tips. Servers are responsible for creating a welcoming experience for guests, taking accurate food and drink orders, communicating clearly with the kitchen and bar, and helping maintain a clean, organized, and comfortable dining environment. The ideal candidate is personable, reliable, able to multitask, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant setting. This position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and a team-first attitude. Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly and make them feel welcome.
Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
Answer guest questions about menu items, specials, drinks, and restaurant policies.
Provide attentive service without being intrusive.
Deliver food and drinks to tables in a timely and professional manner.
Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any needs.
Communicate clearly with kitchen, bar, and management staff.
Handle guest concerns professionally and involve management when needed.
Process payments accurately.
Follow all alcohol service laws and responsible beverage service procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining room, server stations, and service areas.
Roll silverware, restock supplies, refill condiments, and complete side work as assigned.
Assist with seating, bussing, running food, and supporting coworkers during busy periods.
Help maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
Represent The Roost Pub in a professional and friendly manner at all times. Qualifications
Previous serving or restaurant experience is helpful but not required.
Must be friendly, dependable, and professional.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to multitask and stay organized.
Basic math and cash-handling skills.
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift and carry trays, dishes, glassware, and other restaurant items as needed.
Must meet all legal requirements for serving alcohol, if applicable. Work Environment This position works in a busy restaurant and bar environment. Servers may be required to stand for long periods, move quickly through dining and kitchen areas, carry trays, interact with guests, and assist with cleaning and restocking throughout the shift.
