About Jolene's:
Jolene's, a high-touch French restaurant and bar comes to the heart of West Chester's downtown historic district. A team of unique and skilled individuals welcome guests day and night to our lively and welcoming dining room to enjoy Chef's seasonal, classic (and not-so-classic) food, an inventive cocktail list, and a killer selection of bottles from France and beyond.
Job Title:
Server General Summary:
As a server at Jolene's, you will be the epitome of hospitality, crafting exceptional experiences for our guests. Your extensive knowledge of the menu, wines and cocktails, combined with your warm and engaging demeanor, will create an inviting atmosphere that encourages conversation and connection. You understand both hospitality and service. With your meticulous attention to detail, you ensure that each guest feels valued and pampered, transforming every visit into a memorable experience.
Candidate qualities:
Engaged :
You get to know your guests — you ask for their names, chat them up, and keep things lively, especially during slow times. Skilled not snobby : You balance craft and care — deliver killer service, but never at the expense of a welcoming hospitality experience. Team player : You play well with others. We succeed as a team. Know your products : You're passionate about food, wine, and cocktails,
  • and our guests can see it. Quick thinking : Out of something? You get creative and offer a drink that's close
  • or even better. Well
  • stocked : You're organized, you keep your tables clean, and your station well-stocked.
Experimental :
You try new ideas, taste-test with the team, and keep things fresh—but don't drink on duty! Looking sharp : Your personal style is unique, well-groomed and professional.
Specific Responsibilities:
Warm Welcome:
Greet guests with charm, note special requests (shh, no spoiling surprises!).
Water & Wine:
Offer still, sparkling, or tap, then tease their palate with a drink menu preview.
Menu Merveilleux:
Highlight your favorite dishes, daily specials, and take orders with French finesse.
Check & Charm:
After a couple bites, make sure everything is "parfait," and keep those glasses topped off!
Elegant Flow:
Clear and reset the tables between courses, set the scene for dessert, and offer after-dinner drinks. A lot of charm, a lot of expertise? Et voilà! We'd like to hear from you.
