Responsibilities:

Greet customers, take food and beverage orders from diners, serve orders promptly, and accommodate any special needs or requests Collect correct payment from guests and ensure that the guest check and method of payment are accurate to safeguard both the client and the business from mistakes in transactions Attend all pre-shift and departmental meetings to improve communications and develop an understanding of products, services, and facilities Restock and clean as instructed, including side work for opening and closing of the restaurant Develop a comprehensive understanding of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials so that you can respond to client questions and provide recommendations

Qualifications:

This role requires a strong emphasis on putting the guest first and providing exceptional customer service Possesses strong, organizational and time management skills Prior food service industry experience is highly desired Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and other team members Possess a high school diploma or equivalent certification (GED) About Company Built in 1925, the Yorktowne Hotel has been a cornerstone of downtown York and embodies a sense of progressiveness and momentum that characterizes a city on the move, during its original opening and current environment.
