Busser / Food Runner - La Forge Casino Restaurant (Newport, RI) About Us La Forge Casino Restaurant is hiring bussers and food runners for our front-of-house team. We're at 186 Bellevue Avenue in the historic Newport Casino building, in the heart of Newport. We're looking for hardworking, friendly people who like being part of a team and do well in a busy restaurant. Experience is helpful but not required, and we'll train the right person. Responsibilities Run food from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately Check plates against tickets before they leave the kitchen Know the menu well enough to describe dishes when you drop them off Clear, clean, and reset tables quickly between guests Refill water and help servers with guest requests Keep the dining room, service stations, and host area clean and stocked Restock glassware, silverware, linens, and other supplies Help the kitchen, bar, and servers keep service running smoothly Complete opening, side work, and closing duties Support the team with other tasks as assigned by management Qualifications Restaurant experience is a plus; we'll train the right candidate Friendly, positive, and a team player Able to move quickly and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Dependable and punctual Able to stand and walk for long shifts, carry trays, and lift bus tubs Weekend and holiday availability required Schedule Weekend and holiday availability required Pay and Benefits Tipped position Employee meal discount Flexible scheduling How to Apply If you think you'd be a good fit, apply today and join our team at La Forge.
