Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, utilizing host/hostess experience when applicable. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff and bar team. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness, including spirits and cocktail service. Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling to enhance guest experience and revenue. Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine, spirits, cocktails, and menu items based on guest preferences and food industry expertise. Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety protocols, proper food handling practices, and sanitation procedures throughout service. Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations during busy hours. Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving issues professionally, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction. Experience Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential; fine dining or nightclub experience is highly desirable. Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus. Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, and drink service techniques. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours. Ability to perform basic math accurately for processing payments and managing tabs. Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude that enhances guest experiences.
