Job Description

Position Summary:
Performs diversified dining room duties to ensure all Wesley Commons' residents and guests receive the best care and service possible. This positions duties include, but are not limited to: Handles all assigned dining duties, cleaning and service to all our patrons within a timely manner; to ensure a hot meal in the Silver Leaf, Café, Bistro and assisted living dining rooms facilities. Responsible for all set-up and break down of catered functions both on and off the Wesley Commons campus. Assists in serving of food portions to residents and deliveries to residents as needed. Perform all cleaning activities for the Silver Leaf and Silver Leaf serving line in order to meet DHEC standards. Provides all required duties in the Bistro area (Including set-up,breakdown and clean-up). Must wear proper attire as required by DHEC while on duty (i.e. hair nets, uniforms, gloves). Handles other duties as assigned. Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines. Must be able to stand for one-two hour periods to prepare and serve food. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Six months related institutional or restaurant kitchen experience preferred. Fine dining serving experience also preferred. Must be able to speak clearly and listen effectively to employees, culinary staff and residents. Must maintain a professional and courteous attitude towards residents and staff.
