Full Job Description Part-Time, Non-exempt Guaranteed Hourly Pay Rate:

$12.00 Schedule Expectations Usual work hours are Tuesday - Friday 10:00am-2:00pm or 3:00pm (depending on sell out time) Special events on occasion Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred TABC Certificate required Previous cash and credit card transaction experience Good knowledge of English grammar Clear and legible handwriting Good working knowledge of computers and technology Availability to work weekends Must be able to stand/sit for long periods of time Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs Comfortable bending, reaching, stooping, and moving quickly Performance Expectations Must be trustworthy with money handling Make eye contact and greet customers sincerely Sustain a constant customer-ready appearance Respectfully take direction from supervisors Treat customers and coworkers with courtesy and respect Be knowledgeable of the food being served Hair restraints and gloves required while handling food Positively respond to requests for assistance from coworkers, supervisors, and customers Comply with 1701 Barbecue's company policies Notice when help is needed in all areas of the company Responsibilities Greet customers at the register with a friendly and welcoming demeanor Assist customers with beverage orders Learn and efficiently operate point of sales system Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions Maintain clean and safe workstation Assist with lunch set up Assist with plating food orders Help clean restaurant and trays following lunch service Successful Personal Characteristics High level of integrity and honesty Excellent people skills Willingness to learn Able to work in stressful situations while remaining calm and maintaining a positive attitude Ability to multi-task Able to work independently and as a team player High standard of personal hygiene Maintain a clean, professional appearance every day (see handbook for dress code) Able to work successfully with minimal supervision Able to prioritize tasks Strong attention to detail Self-motivated, especially under pressure Exceptional time management skills Able to manage your emotions in the work place Excellent listening skills Ability to follow instructions
