Manage cash handling and cashiering duties accurately, including processing payments via POS systems like Aloha or Micros. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols. Assist with food preparation or kitchen support during busy periods when necessary. Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and fostering positive guest relations. Support sanitation practices by following proper food handling procedures and ensuring compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during shifts, including nightclubs or other entertainment venues if applicable. Utilize reservation platforms such as OpenTable to manage bookings efficiently. Engage in ongoing training related to food industry standards, hospitality best practices, and POS system updates. Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, particularly in fine dining or nightlife settings. Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for order entry and cashiering. Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques. Excellent guest service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle diverse customer needs. Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume shifts. Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue. Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing. Experience with reservation management tools like OpenTable is a plus. Knowledge of the food industry's best practices for serving guests efficiently while maintaining professionalism.
