Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlist or reservations with professionalism and enthusiasm. Assist servers by delivering food and beverages promptly and accurately to tables, ensuring guest satisfaction. Clear tables efficiently by bussing dishes, glassware, and utensils while maintaining cleanliness standards. Support the kitchen team with basic food preparation tasks when needed, including handling food safely and following hygiene protocols. Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, restrooms, and service stations through regular cleaning and sanitizing. Manage host/hostess duties such as seating guests, answering phone inquiries with courteous communication skills, and managing POS systems like Aloha or Micros for order processing. Collaborate with team members to uphold food safety standards and ensure a welcoming environment for all guests. Requirements Previous experience in food service, hosting, or hospitality roles is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and cleaning. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and POS operations. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures. Experience with restaurant technology systems such as OpenTable or similar reservation platforms is a plus.
