Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of food and beverage offerings. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring efficient service and adherence to food safety standards. Duties Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, providing excellent guest relations. Present menus, take orders, and accurately input them into the POS system. Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring that all items are prepared according to guest specifications. Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting them for new guests. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as needed (cash handling experience required). Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery while adhering to sanitation and food safety guidelines. Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly, ensuring satisfaction throughout their dining experience. Assist with training new staff members on restaurant procedures, menu items, and customer service standards. Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant roles, with breakfast experience preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy shifts. Familiarity with Yelp or similar reservation systems is a plus. Basic math skills for handling transactions and processing payments accurately. Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards in the food industry. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Previous host/host or bussing experience is beneficial for this role.
