Job Description

Whispering Pines Golf Club is looking for Part Time Servers to join our team. The Servers play an integral role in ensuring members and guests have an exceptional dining experience. The ideal candidate is attentive, welcoming, has a sense of urgency, and previous experience working in a fast-paced environment. If this sounds like you, submit your application for consideration!

Please Note:

This is a seasonal position. Typical months of operations for the Spring season are March - June with a two month off period. Fall season being August - December.

Employment Status:

Part-Time Job Tasks/Duties Serves meals and beverages to members and guests according to standard operating procedures, working in a fine dining environment. Provides excellent guest service to all members, guests and staff. Responsible for constant sanitation, organization, and proper food handling. Maintains a safe, clean, organized, and stocked work area. Communicates with food and beverage staff to ensure guest satisfaction. Reports to work as scheduled, in uniform, and ready to be in position. Does side work during non-busy hours. Speaks to guests with enthusiasm at all times. Provides the highest level of service in accordance with our standards. Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed. Clears and resets tables/work areas at conclusion of each course or end of shift. Preparing the tables, laying out napkins and utensils, making sure the condiments are refilled, performing all other preparation tasks. Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses. Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor. Ability to help in other areas of the department as directed by supervisor. Adhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes. Other duties as assigned. Desired Qualifications Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages, applicable state card or certificate must be provided. Able to work a flexible schedule, perform multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently. Effective communication skills (written and oral), strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Up to date food handlers certificate and TABC license to serve.

Pay:

$7.25 hourly rate for the first two to three weeks of training. Upon completion of training, the hourly rate is changed to a standard $5.25. On any day if the accumulated tips do not meet minimum wage requirements the difference will be matched.

Work Hours:

Days and hours of work vary by schedule and business needs. Tournaments require extra days. Evening, weekend, and holiday work will be required. The business week is Tues - Sun. 6AM - 11PM.
