Outstanding service is put above all else here at Purple Sky Winery. Knowledge of the menu and restaurant POS experience is a must. Knowledge of wine pairings is also a plus. Weekdays are as needed, weekends are required. This is part time, Saturdays and Sundays Duties Greet and seat guests promptly, providing outstanding customer service. Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system and ensure timely delivery to tables. Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries, offering assistance, and resolving any issues that may arise during their visit. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations. Process payments using cash register systems while ensuring accuracy in transactions. Adhere to food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely preparation of orders. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Suggest certain wines depending on what the guest orders. Qualifications Previous experience in a server or customer service role is preferred, especially in a fine dining establishment or upscale bar. Strong knowledge of food handling and safety practices. Proficient in using cash registers and POS systems with basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor to engage with guests effectively. A team player who is willing to help colleagues as needed to ensure overall guest satisfaction. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business needs. Knowlege of wine varieties.
