Restaurant Server The Little America Hotel, Salt Lake City - 3.8 Salt Lake City, UT Job Details Part-time 1 day ago Qualifications Kitchen health and safety standards In-person customer service Employee relationship building Cash register operations Full Job Description The food server responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus and serving food and beverages. You need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite and friendly attitude. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we'd like to meet you. This position is a seasonal, on call.
Responsibilities:
Accomplishing a set list of side work duties in a timely manner. Abiding by all the guest service standards. Maintaining specified levels of cleanliness within the outlet. Responsible for adhering to all State, Federal and local laws as they pertain to the sale and service of food and beverage products. Responsible for monitoring the actions of guests and staff ensuring proper health and safety standards are met. Maintains a favorable working relationship with all company employees. Performs other job-related duties as directed. Will be available to assist servers by; running food &/or drink orders, expedite food, buss, pre-buss, set & pre-set tables, fill waters, retrieve bread and openly communicate information to the table's appropriate server.
Requirements and skills:
Proven restaurant serving or waitering experience Hands-on experience in cashier duties Attention to cleanliness and safety Patience and customer-oriented approach Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude Responsible and trustworthy High school diploma is a plus but not required Available to work weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and move around the dining area for extended periods of time (up to 8+ hours). Ability to lift and carry heavy trays, food, and beverage orders (up to 25 pounds). Ability to bend, squat, and reach in order to serve guests and retrieve items from shelves or storage areas. Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment with high noise levels. Good physical stamina and mobility to efficiently serve a high volume of customers throughout shifts.
