Responsibilities Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage options. Take accurate orders using Toast POS systems, ensuring special requests are noted and accommodated. Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling techniques to maximize sales. Maintain thorough knowledge of wine lists, spirits, cocktails, and food ingredients to assist guests with recommendations and pairings. Ensure food safety standards are met through proper food handling, sanitation practices, and adherence to health regulations. Support team efforts by bussing tables, resetting dining areas promptly, and assisting with guest relations to foster a welcoming atmosphere. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any service issues proactively. Promote specials and upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase revenue opportunities. Uphold sanitation standards and ensure all dining areas are clean, organized, and inviting at all times. Experience Previous food service experience in a restaurant setting is highly preferred. Familiarity with Toast POS systems is advantageous. Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation. Demonstrated ability in customer service roles with excellent communication skills. Experience with cash handling, processing transactions accurately, and managing sales efficiently. Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation practices within the food industry. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
