Sidewalk Sundae is hiring friendly and dependable temporary employees for Virgina State Fair. We serve ice cream, frozen chocolate-covered bananas, frozen cheesecake, floats, and other sweet treats in a busy fair environment. Dates of work are September 25th - October 4th 2026. No concession experience is required. Training will be provided. Responsibilities Greet customers, take accurate orders, and process payments Prepare and serve menu items according to our standards Restock supplies as needed Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all food-safety and sanitation procedures Work cooperatively with the team during busy periods Qualifications Friendly, dependable, and punctual Able to work quickly and follow instructions Comfortable handling food, payments, cleaning, and stocking Available for assigned morning, evening, weekend, or closing shifts Reliable transportation to and from the event Previous food-service or customer-service experience is helpful but not required Physical Requirements Employees must be able to stand for most of the shift, bend and reach as needed, and perform repetitive tasks. Scheduling This is a temporary event position. Applicants must be available and reliable for the shifts they accept. Closing shifts may continue after the event closes while the stand is cleaned and prepared for the following day.
