Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for guest services and a strong background in the food industry, particularly in fine dining establishments. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and care. Duties Greet and seat guests promptly, providing menus and information about daily specials. Take food and beverage orders accurately using the Aloha POS system. Deliver orders to tables in a timely manner while ensuring all items are presented neatly. Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items and wine pairings to enhance the guest experience. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations. Process payments efficiently using cash register systems while ensuring accuracy in transactions. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery. Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction. Assist in training new staff members on service standards and restaurant protocols. Qualifications Previous experience in the food service industry is required, with fine dining experience preferred. Strong guest service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for patrons. Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is highly desirable. Knowledge of culinary terms and menu items, along with the ability to make recommendations based on guest preferences. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Ability to multitask effectively in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
