Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service in a fast-paced environment, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Prior experience in food service or fine dining is preferred, along with strong communication skills and a passion for hospitality. The position offers opportunities for growth within the restaurant industry and the chance to develop valuable skills in customer relations and food handling. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, professional service throughout their visit Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in accordance with sanitation standards Assist with bussing tables and resetting for new guests as needed Ensure food safety and proper food handling procedures are followed at all times Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders Provide guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring overall satisfaction Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially fine dining or nightclub settings Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is highly desirable Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours Ability to upsell menu items effectively to maximize sales opportunities Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy Experience in bussing, hosting/host duties, or kitchen support is a plus Ability to work flexible hours including nights; previous hospitality or guest services experience is advantageous A positive attitude with excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
