Experienced Restaurant Server / Front-of- House Oyiso Teriyaki Ferndale, WA Job Details Part-time From $17.13 an hour 13 hours ago Qualifications Food service customer order management Sales transaction processing Bussing Payment processing in food service Cleaning messes in dining areas Full Job Description Experienced Restaurant Server / Front-of-House We are looking for an experienced, dependable server who can learn quickly and confidently handle the front of house independently. This position is best suited for someone who already has restaurant experience, stays organized during busy periods, takes initiative, and does not need constant supervision. What we're looking for: Previous restaurant/server experience 21 years or older Quick learner who can catch on to our system quickly Dependable and able to consistantly arrive on time for scheduled shifts Comfortable working independently and managing the front of house alone Able to multitask and stay organized during busy periods Responsibilities include: Taking orders Serving food and drinks Processing payments and handling the register Counting tills Cleaning and resetting tables Preparing water, ice, utensils, and other supplies Restocking soy sauce, beverages, takeout utensils, and other inventory Putting away clean cups and utensils Wiping tables and maintaining the dining area Sweeping floors
Pay:
From $17.13 per hour Application Question(s): Are you comfortable working by yourself without a manager constantly telling you what needs to be done? For this position, you would be the only front-of-house employee during your shift. You would be responsible for greeting and seating customers, taking orders, serving food and drinks, answering the phone, processing payments, cleaning and resetting tables, restocking, and keeping the front organized. How comfortable are you handling all of that on your own? Imagine you have three tables, one table is ready to pay, a new customer just walked in, the phone is ringing, and food is ready to be served. Walk me through what you would do first and how you would handle everything Let's say you're scheduled to work and your car won't start. What would you do to make sure you still get to work on time?
