Lead Food Server Emerald Queen Casino - 3.2 Fife, WA Job Details $17.61 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications Food handling Guest relations Fine dining experience TIPS High school diploma or GED Making change Payment processing in food service Food Handler Certification Full Job Description The Lead Food Server is responsible for greeting guests as they are seated, provides beverages, suggests menu items and takes food orders while providing superior guest service. Additional duties include training of new food servers and oversees all servers and bussers on the floor, accepts money and makes change, operates POS system and keeps the server station stocked and clean at all times. Performs additional job duties as assigned by the department manager. Position starts at $17.61/hr plus tips and increases to $18.50/hr plus tips at successful completion of a 90 day orientation period.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Experience & Requirements:
Minimum two years high volume fine dining or casual dining food service experience is required Must be able to follow specific instructions and have good guest relation skills Must have good grooming habits and manners Must have excellent alcohol service knowledge Previous experience training new staff (preferred) Must have a valid Washington State food handler's card
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for longer than 8 hours Mobility to climb stairs on a routine basis The ability to carry up to 25 pounds Must be able to tolerate a smoke filled environment
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays All applicants must obtain a Class III B license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. However, the use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant unless the position requires driving a company vehicle.
